Reflecting on my February reading journey, I noticed how life’s ups and downs can really impact reading consistency. Despite an exhausting last week, I managed to dive into an array of books, ranging from LGBTQIA+ romance and horror to historical fiction and fantasy nonfiction. One thing I’ve learned is that mixing genres keeps my interest alive, especially when some days are more draining than others. Using tools like The StoryGraph helped me track my progress—did you know I read around 1,955 pages in February with an average book length of 185 pages? Tracking your reading can motivate you to keep going, even when life feels overwhelming. I also found that balancing formats—digital, print, and audio—makes a huge difference. When I'm too tired to hold a book, audiobooks are a lifesaver, letting me enjoy stories while resting or multitasking. If you find yourself struggling with reading consistency like I did, try setting small daily goals or mixing shorter, easier reads with heavier ones. And don’t be too hard on yourself—sometimes, life just demands attention elsewhere. Here’s to a more consistent, enjoyable reading month ahead! Happy reading and stay inspired, book lovers!
