My Summer Obsessions As An East Coast Girly
I’ve been lucky to be traveling for work this spring, but I’m sooo ready to slow down and enjoy the little things this summer. #coastalgranddaughter #summervibes #HANDMADE #Lemon8Diary #lifestyle
As someone who cherishes the slower pace of summer on the East Coast, I’ve found that embracing local, handmade items and simple pleasures truly enhances the season. One of my favorite rituals is visiting farmers markets to pick up fresh, seasonal flowers like snapdragons—they add a charming burst of color to my home and connect me with the local flora. Collecting handcrafted ceramics, such as mugs from Pipe Dream Pottery in Boston or matcha sets from Etsy artisans, brings an authentic, personal touch to everyday moments like morning coffee or tea time. These carefully chosen pieces not only support small businesses but also feel special against the backdrop of summer days. Beach cruisers with wicker baskets are a summer must-have for me. They combine practicality with effortless style, perfect for cruising the boardwalk or carrying essentials for a beach day. Afterward, a bonfire on the beach with friends is the perfect way to wind down, sharing stories and enjoying the warm glow under the stars. I’ve also found joy in unique, playful items like food-themed tic tac toe sets and painted shell trinket dishes. These add whimsical character to my space and are great conversation starters. Even an antique easel repurposed as a TV stand adds a vintage touch that's both functional and eye-catching. All these little details create a cozy, coastal atmosphere that truly defines my summer as an East Coast girly—full of handmade charm, fresh finds, and unforgettable moments. Embracing this lifestyle has helped me slow down and savor the season's simple joys, inspiring me to cultivate a meaningful summer experience every year.

I would love to live on the coast but i live in a small town in Mississippi where the nearest beach is in Alabama and that’s orange beach or Biloxi beach but the waters warm there so no thanks
