✨I saw the most amazing idea here on Lemon8 the other day! It was a post about creating a life planner filled with different printables that you can customize and put into a binder. You can fill it with whatever templates that you think would be helpful to you throughout the year!
These are all templates that I found by just searching for them in Canva! But you can customize them however you want or even create your own from scratch!
As a student here are my top templates that I need in my life planner -
💻Passwords - this one is crucial for me as I ty to get more organized in the new year. I know there are a lot of digital options to keep your passwords saved but last year I had a few instances where my digital password keepers failed me... And it was the worst thing ever! So now this year I am keeping all of my passwords in my life planner! Just make sure to keep your binder safe😳
❗️Assignment tracker - this is something that I usually do in Notion at the beginning of my semester but I am trying to limit my digital resources this year bc I found myself checking a million different apps and websites to stay organized... and that's not very organized lol
💸Monthly budget - this one is obvious, unless you don't track your spending, in which case you NEED this! I need to be better at budgeting so I think this template is going to help out a lot!

... Read moreHey everyone! Following up on my last post about setting up a life planner, I wanted to share some extra tips and tricks I've picked up to really make these printables work for you. I know many of you are looking for ways to boost productivity and keep your student life organized, and trust me, it's totally achievable with the right system!
First off, let's talk about making your planner *aesthetic*. Who says organization can't be pretty? I love using different colored pens, highlighters, and even small stickers to make my weekly spreads and task lists more inviting. For my 'Assignment Tracker' template (you know, the one I mentioned in my binder!), I use one color for each subject. This instantly gives me a visual cue and makes it much easier to see what's due for which class at a glance. You could also use a different color for high-priority tasks versus lower-priority ones. Creating a simple 'planner color code key' at the front of your binder is a game-changer – it's like having a secret weapon for visual organization!
Speaking of tracking assignments, while I'm a huge fan of my physical 'Assignment Tracker', I've heard some students still prefer an 'assignment tracker app'. For me, the act of physically writing things down helps solidify them in my memory, and it forces me to look at my schedule without the distractions of a phone. But if you do use an app, try to integrate it: maybe you jot down key deadlines from your app into your physical planner weekly. The goal is to avoid checking 'a million different apps and websites' as I used to!
To really master your 'student planning study schedule notebook laptop' setup, think beyond just listing tasks. Use your monthly and weekly spreads to map out your study blocks. For example, after I've added all my assignments from the 'Assignment Tracker', I then allocate specific study times for each course. I even block out time for breaks! This creates a realistic and manageable 'student planning schedule notebook laptop' plan.
And where can you find even more 'printable templates' beyond Canva? Etsy has a ton of beautiful, affordable options created by small businesses. Pinterest is also a treasure trove of free printables – just search for “student planner printables” or “aesthetic study planner.” Remember, you can always customize them! Print them out, trim them, and punch them to fit your binder. Don't be afraid to experiment with different layouts until you find what truly boosts your productivity.
Putting together a comprehensive 'course assignment tracker' isn't just about noting due dates. I break down larger projects into smaller, manageable steps in my planner. This makes daunting tasks seem less overwhelming. For instance, for a big research paper, I'll list “Choose Topic,” “Find 5 Sources,” “Outline,” “Draft Intro,” etc., as individual entries. This strategy, combined with my 'MONTHLY BUDGET' template for keeping my finances in check and my 'PASSWORDS' sheet securely tucked away, truly makes this physical life planner my ultimate tool for success! Give these ideas a try – I promise, a well-organized planner can make a huge difference in your student journey.
