What are you waiting for?

I have had the Sony XM5's for about a month now so I feel like I have used all the features and found my favorite parts about these headphones! I almost bought the Apple Airpods and I'm happy with my decision to get these!

🩶There's Golden Goose girlies and Air Force One girlies... Now there's Apple girlies and Sony XM5 girlies🎧

🩶You can connect them to 2 devices at once, and even if you are in the Apple ecosystem, they switch perfectly between all your devices. It's like magic!

🩶They charge so quickly! 3 minutes of charging can get you 3 hours of use. Great for anyone who is running out the door and sees their headphones are dead (this is me🥲)

🩶Touch controls - you can play/pause, skip, control volume, and activate a voice assistant where you can just say things like "pause" to control your headphones!

🩶Noise cancelling - but not just any noise cancelling, the BEST I have ever heard!

🩶If you have music playing and noise cancelling on and quickly need to hear someone talking to you, you can just put your hand over your right ear and the music turns down instantly and you can hear them talking crystal clear!

Some downfalls just to be transparent -

❤️‍🩹They started to hurt my head a little because of the rounded headset design, but after seeing other people online have the same issue, I saw recommendations to adjust the way I was wearing them by putting them further back on my head and my issue was fixed!

💸The price... They are expensive but still a lot cheaper than the Airpod Max's and even though it was hard for me to part with my $350 (I got them on sale on Amazon!) I am so glad I did, because they're amazing and I use them like 8 hours a day lol!

Honestly I think everyone should have these headphones! Let me know what you have in the comments💬

... Read moreOkay, let's talk about first impressions! When my Sony WH-1000XM5s arrived, I was immediately struck by the packaging. It truly was 'giving earthy,' as the text on one of my photos says. It felt minimalist, sustainable, and surprisingly premium for something so eco-conscious. No excessive plastic, just smart design. And then the headphones themselves – mine are the gorgeous white Sony WH-1000XM5 headphones, and they are definitely 'super aesthetic.' They have this sleek, understated elegance that just looks good with everything. I even put a few small white heart stickers on the earcups, as you can see in one of my pics, to personalize them a bit, and they still look amazing. It’s not just about how they sound, but how they look and feel, too! Now, about that quick charge feature that everyone talks about – it's absolutely real! Sony officially states that just 3 minutes of charging can give you 3 hours of playback, and from my experience, it's spot on. This has been a lifesaver for me, especially on those mornings when I'm running out the door and realize my headphones are dead. A quick plug-in while I grab my keys, and I'm good to go for my commute. As for using them while charging, that's another common question. Technically, yes, you can use the Sony WH-1000XM5 headphones while they are plugged in and charging. However, it's generally not recommended for prolonged use as it can sometimes affect battery longevity over the very long term, and it's not the most comfortable experience with a cable dangling. For a quick top-up while still needing audio, it’s possible, but for regular listening, it's best to let them charge fully and enjoy the wireless freedom. The battery life is so fantastic (up to 30 hours with ANC) that you rarely need to worry about charging mid-session anyway! Finally, for anyone needing to find their serial number – maybe for warranty registration or troubleshooting – it's pretty straightforward. On the Sony WH-1000XM5, you'll typically find the serial number located on the inside of the headband. Gently extend the earcups fully, and look along the inner side of the headband, usually near where it connects to the earcup. It's often printed in small text, so you might need good lighting or even a magnifying glass to read it clearly. Sometimes it's also on a sticker inside the original packaging, but the most reliable place is directly on the device itself. Knowing where this is can save you a lot of hassle later on if you ever need to contact Sony support, so it's a good piece of info to tuck away!
