If You’re Graduating This Semester...

If you're graduating this semester… first of all, congrats 🥹🎓

You’re so close. These past few years flew by, and now it’s time to wrap it all up.

Before things get chaotic, make sure you’re on track to graduate (email your advisor just to be safe), update your resume, and start thinking about what comes next, even if it’s just exploring. And please soak up the little moments before they’re gone. Take a walk around campus, go to that event, grab coffee with someone you haven’t seen in a while.

You only get to do this once!

Comment 🎓 if you're graduating this year!!

... Read moreGraduation is an important milestone that marks the transition from academic life to new opportunities. To make the most of this period, it’s crucial to confirm that all graduation requirements are met. This includes emailing your advisor to verify that your credits are sufficient and ensuring you have officially applied for graduation. Updating your resume is another vital step at this stage. Tailor it to highlight your academic achievements, internships, and relevant experiences. Starting to connect early by networking with professionals and alumni can open doors for internships, jobs, or mentorship. Graduation isn’t just about administrative tasks. It’s also a time to savor the unique moments on campus. Attend events, explore familiar spots, and spend quality time with friends before these opportunities slip away. Activities such as journaling your experiences, saying yes to new adventures, and making memories will enrich your transition period. Beyond celebration, it’s wise to think ahead. Whether you plan to enter the workforce, continue your studies, or explore other paths, having a clear sense of direction helps reduce post-graduation uncertainty. Utilize campus career services for guidance, resume reviews, and interview preparations. Embracing this once-in-a-lifetime experience with a balance of practical preparation and emotional mindfulness will help graduates move confidently into the next chapter of their lives.

Why I picked my Major
I decided my second semester of senior year that I was going to go to college. I hated the idea of more school, but knew I wanted to do more with myself than just work in a factory. My advisor suggested Supply Chain Management because the student who had previously majored in it had great success.
