... Read moreWhen we talk about hearing the voice of God versus the voice of our own heart, it's important to understand the difference in guidance they provide. The Bible verse Jeremiah 11:8 reveals how people often follow their own hearts, which can be 'evil' or misleading. Our hearts may deceive us by leading to harmful decisions, fostering fear, or causing unnecessary conflicts. In contrast, listening to God's voice offers wisdom, peace, and a path aligned with divine purpose. Many people trust their feelings to make choices, believing the heart always knows best. However, our emotions can be influenced by external circumstances, personal desires, or fears, diverting us from what truly benefits us. For example, our heart might push us toward relationships or opportunities that seem attractive but are not God's plan for us. Faith encourages us to seek God's voice through prayer, scripture, and reflection. This spiritual practice helps us discern His guidance, which often calms fear and encourages courage. Scriptures like Joshua 1:9 remind us: "Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go." Understanding that our hearts can be "evil" means acknowledging human imperfection and the temptation to follow selfish impulses. Therefore, learning to distinguish God's voice requires humility and consistent spiritual growth. By prioritizing God's guidance, we avoid the pitfalls of misled emotions and move toward a life of fulfillment and divine favor. Incorporating this mindset into daily life can transform decision-making processes. Instead of reacting impulsively to feelings, one can pause, pray, and seek God’s clarity. This way, choices in relationships, career, and personal growth reflect not just what feels right, but what aligns with God’s will. In sum, "Hazle caso a la voz de Dios," meaning "Listen to the voice of God," calls us to trust divine wisdom over our flawed human emotions. This approach leads to true peace, protection from harm, and a closer relationship with God.
