Powerbeats Pro’s 2 vs Powerbeats Fit
I absolutely loved my AirPod 4’s however, it’s been some years and they are getting old. I was convinced to try something new. The Powerbeats Pro’s 2 are for people who do not wear glasses for sure! The Powerbeats Fit I’m still learning how to adjust the audio settings to my liking but they are decent so far. Which version of the beats are your favorite? Or do you prefer AirPods only?
Stepping away from my beloved AirPod Pro 4's after years of faithful service was a big move, but I was ready for a change, and my old AirPods were definitely showing their age. That's when I dove into the world of Beats, specifically the Powerbeats Pro 2 and the Beats Fit Pro, often referred to casually as Powerbeats Fit. First up, the Powerbeats Pro 2. From the get-go, I realized what a crucial detail it is if you wear glasses. The robust, over-ear hook design, while fantastic for keeping them absolutely secure during intense workouts, creates a noticeable pressure point with my glasses. It's a deal-breaker for extended wear if you're like me and rely on your specs. This design aesthetic is definitely 'bold' and 'on brand' for a sports performance earbud, promising unshakeable stability. However, for everyday comfort, especially with eyewear, it wasn't quite my jam. The ergonomics are clearly geared towards maximum stability, not necessarily maximum comfort for all users. The charging case is also quite bulky, making it less pocket-friendly. Then came the Beats Fit Pro (my 'Powerbeats Fit'). This is where things really changed for me. Unlike the Powerbeats Pro 2, these feature a flexible wingtip design that tucks into the ridge of your ear. This ingenious ergonomic solution means no interference with my glasses whatsoever! It’s such a relief. Finding the perfect adjustment took a little learning, as I mentioned, to get that snug seal for optimal audio and comfort, but it was well worth the effort. The design aesthetic of the Beats Fit Pro feels more 'stylish' and versatile, blending seamlessly whether I'm working out or just commuting. They're discreet yet secure, a perfect balance if you ask me. Beyond fit, the audio experience is classic Beats – powerful bass and crisp highs. For the Powerbeats Fit, once I nailed that perfect in-ear adjustment, the sound quality truly shone. The added bonus of Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) on the Beats Fit Pro is a game-changer for focus and immersion, a feature the Powerbeats Pro 2 lacks. This really enhances their practicality for daily life, whether I'm trying to concentrate at a coffee shop or just enjoy my music without distractions. The charging case for the Beats Fit Pro is also significantly more compact, making it far more convenient to carry around. So, after trying both and ultimately saying 'goodbye to AirPod Pro 4's' and evaluating these two contenders, my personal preference led me to embrace the Powerbeats Fit. While the Powerbeats Pro 2 offers ultimate security for dedicated athletes, the overall ergonomics, comfort for glasses wearers, and versatile features like ANC make the Beats Fit Pro a much better fit for my lifestyle. It really boils down to what you prioritize: unyielding stability in extreme conditions or adaptable comfort and enhanced features for everyday use.
