Counting My Blessings. 🤎🙏
This morning, before I asked God for anything...
I stopped to thank Him for everything He's already done.
A roof over my head.
Food on my table.
Another sunrise.
Another opportunity.
The people I love.
The breath in my lungs.
Sometimes we're so focused on what's next that we forget to thank God for what's already in our hands.
Today, I'm choosing gratitude.
I'm counting my blessings...
One by one.
"Every good and perfect gift is from above..." — James 1:17 🤎
What are you thankful for today?

Reflecting on my own experiences, I've found that cultivating a daily gratitude practice profoundly changes how I perceive challenges and joys alike. Before setting out each day, I take a moment to acknowledge simple gifts such as shelter, nourishment, and time with loved ones—just like the message "counting my blessings one by one" conveys. In times when I felt overwhelmed or distracted by what was missing, intentionally shifting my focus to what I already have helped me foster inner peace and contentment. For instance, reminding myself "every good and perfect gift is from above" echoes in my mind as a gentle nudge to appreciate divine faithfulness in everyday life. Even small acts—like savoring a sunrise or noting the steady breath in my lungs—become powerful symbols of thankfulness. This practice doesn't just uplift my spirit; it strengthens my trust in God's providence and energizes my hope for the opportunities ahead. Each morning, I find I’m more grounded in faith and less caught up in seeking 'what's next' because gratitude brings clarity to what truly matters. Inspired by this mindset, anyone can benefit by starting with simple acknowledgments of blessings, and gradually deepening their spiritual connection through intentional thanks. Ultimately, gratitude transforms how we see life—recognizing that the gifts we prayed for, plus those we nearly forgot, weave a web of grace supporting us daily. Embracing this perspective encourages ongoing hope and joy, making "counting blessings" a meaningful and uplifting daily devotion.
