... Read moreMy personal hair evolution has been quite a ride! Like many of you, my hair isn't just hair; it's a reflection of different phases of my life. I've gone through so many color and style transformations over the years, and it's truly been a journey from my natural wavy dark brown hair to everything you see now.
I remember starting with my natural dark brown hair, often worn long with a middle part. It was beautiful, but I always craved something different, a way to express a new me. My first step into the hair coloring world was subtle – just some lighter highlights to add dimension and a bit of a sun-kissed look. It was a gentle way to test the waters without a drastic change, making my wavy brown hair pop.
Then came the phase of truly venturing lighter. I moved towards a lighter brown hair shade, exploring different warm tones. This was a gradual process, but I loved how it brightened my face. The biggest leap, of course, was going blonde! That was a commitment. Maintaining bright blonde hair, especially keeping it long and healthy, took a lot of effort, special shampoos, and deep conditioning treatments. I quickly learned about the importance of good hair care products and finding a skilled stylist who understood the intricacies of going from dark to light without damaging my hair.
After blonde, I found myself drawn to warmer, more vibrant shades. I ventured into reddish-brown hair, which was a fun change and felt very autumnal. And yes, there was even a phase with bright red hair! That was definitely a statement and required frequent touch-ups, but it was so much fun for a while, making me feel bold and adventurous. I also experimented with different lengths, from medium-length to very long, and tried various parts, sometimes a side part, sometimes a middle part.
Now, I often find myself gravitating back to beautiful brown tones, sometimes with subtle brown highlights, keeping it medium-length or long, depending on my mood. What I've learned through all these changes is that hair is an amazing canvas for self-expression. Each hair color, whether it's the natural dark brown, the lighter highlights, the full blonde, or the vibrant red, marks a moment in time for me. It's truly been a hair transformation diary, and I'm always excited to see what the next evolution will bring.
