Have you seen that movie Beauty Shop with Queen Latifah (she is my hair goals btw) ? The lady said the wax looks so good but it hurts so bad that you wonโt want YOUR MAN to touch it LOL. So I bought this kit with that scene in mind. This was actually done on a whim. I was in dollar tree as I usually am bc duh and this waxing kit caught my eye. So me being me, I got it. Simple.
Plus, the box was not flimsy or thin that inspired my confidence that it would not be the worst idea, ya know?

I believe they said it was 22 pieces in it, which obv i donโt see 22 pieces but I think they meant like when you divide the strip, it becomes 2.
I was going to wax my mustache (#prettygirlshavepeachfuzz ) and my bikini line. So I picked the befitting strips.
FIRST, I cleaned the area. They provided wipes in the pack but who knows what they use for cleanser is so I used my own. Good olโ fashioned witch hazel.
Then, the instructions say to warm the strips by putting them in your hands and rubbing them but who finna do that? Not me. So I blow dried the strips on high heat and that worked just fine. There is more than one way to skin a cat!
First was my bikini line. I applied the strips as instructed- firm, holding skin taught, pressed down, rubbed it a lil to activate nothing really it just felt professional, grabbed the end of the strip and did not pull bc omg it was going to hurt so bad.
Then I told myself, โwell, you put it on so you have to take it off. Stop being a punk and pull that sucker!โ
And I did just that.
It hurt but not nearly as much as I thought. But all that pain was in vain bc there was not any hair on the strip LMAO.
Guess that explains the lack of pain?
Then I did my stache. Same process. But this time it worked. I did not take pictures of that because everything isnโt for the internet but I was peachfuzz free for about a week. The kit was a dollar and 35 cent after tax. What did I expect? Dollar Tree, I still love you baby no bad blood.
