Are we getting relaxers??👀
As y’all know, I’m in cosmetology school and I’ve been doing perms and relaxers since November. Are the girlies wanting to be straight again?
Me personally, I’ve been wearing my fro for so long - I don’t even know what to do with straight hair anymore.
I understand why the girlies would turn their backs on the curly community 😂 it’s ROUGH out here. The rules and regulations of having “natural curly hair” are absurd and y’all know what I’m talking about. At the end of the day - hair is hair/your crown whatever YOU want it to be and it will grow back🖤
If you’re thinking of transitioning or have already gotten a relaxer - let me know why in the comments - I’m curious.

The decision to relax hair can be both personal and transformative. For many, the allure of straight hair often stems from societal beauty standards or ease of management. However, it is vital to understand the implications of using relaxers. Relaxers chemically alter the hair structure, making it essential to follow specific care routines post-treatment. There are various types of relaxers, with some being more suitable for certain hair types than others. Knowing how to care for relaxed hair is crucial, as it can become more susceptible to damage. It's recommended to invest in quality relaxed hair products that provide moisture and strength. Many individuals find that maintaining a healthy balance between styling and care is necessary to avoid straw-like textures. If you're transitioning, consider consulting with a hairstylist experienced in both natural and relaxed textures for personalized advice. Such discussions can enhance not only your hair health but your confidence in styling too. For those who have already made the switch, sharing your experiences can greatly help others contemplating a similar change. Why did you choose to relax your hair? What has your journey looked like in terms of care and confidence? Engage in conversations, use hashtags like #relaxedhair and #naturalhairstyles, and build a supportive community around your hair journey!

I want to go for the pixie look and with “natural hair” I feel like it’s harder.
