My go to ab workout
I’m not a big fan of abs/core but love the results that will come in the end. 🎧🏋️
Here’s my core workout in order!
- Russian twists 3 sets for 30 seconds (strengthens your core, works your side abs, works your spinal control as well)
- leg raises 3x20 (works the lower part of your abs, Keeping your core braced, strengthens your core)
- plank for 30 seconds (works your deep core, train your core to resist movement, build core stability)
- bicycle crunches 3 sets for 45 seconds (hitting your upper abs, lower abs, and obliques all at once)
These are good workouts you can do at home as well, I use weights on the Russian twists only!

Core workouts are crucial for building strength and stability, especially for those who may not enjoy doing ab exercises. This routine is simple and can be done at home without needing extensive equipment. The Russian twists train your obliques while offering a solid warm-up. Leg raises specifically target the lower abs, which is often a problem area for many. Planks help in building endurance in your core muscles, while bicycle crunches effectively engage upper and lower segments simultaneously. Combining these exercises can lead to better overall core strength and posture. In addition, adding weights to Russian twists can increase resistance, enhancing your workout intensity. Ensure you maintain proper form to prevent injury and achieve maximum benefits. Consistency is key; aim to incorporate this workout into your routine several times a week to see results. Remember to listen to your body and adjust the workout intensity according to your fitness level.
