This weekend, my homegirls and I did something for the soul — we had a classy, formal photo shoot that celebrated our elegance, our softness, and our beauty as Black women. The TikTok sound says it perfectly — Black girls are rarely given space to just exist in our sheer elegance, to move without performance, to take up space without apology.
