HOW TO BUDGET FOR BEGINNERS

Saving money has honestly became one of my favorite things to do. It has made such a difference in life, and I know a lot of people want to get better with their finances too — so I wanted to share some easy budgeting tips!

One of the biggest things that helped me was following the 50/30/20 rule.

It’s a super simple way to break down your paycheck:

•50% goes to your needs (like rent, bills, groceries, and gas )

•30% goes to your wants ( like hair, nails, shoppings, and fun stuff)

•20% goes straight into savings ( preferably into a high - yield savings account so your money grows faster!)

If you’re packing up extra side hustles or doing freelance work, definitely peek at the third picture! It shows a little cheat sheet for how much you should save money monthly depending on your goal.

I used this method back when I was doing things like waitressing and would stash a set amount away each month — and trust me, it adds up way faster than you think! ⭐️Overall rating:10 /10

... Read moreUnderstanding how to manage your finances is a vital skill for anyone looking to enhance their financial security. The 50/30/20 rule is an excellent starting point that allocates 50% of your income to needs such as housing and food, 30% to lifestyle choices, and 20% to savings. This simple method can transform how you view your paycheck, allowing for a more structured approach to spending and saving. Additionally, creating a savings chart can keep you motivated and help visualize your goals. For instance, if your aim is to save $5,000, breaking this down into manageable monthly savings of roughly $417 can ease the process. Incorporating side hustles can supplement your income and increase the amount you save each month. Remember, consistency is key – even small amounts add up over time! By using apps to track your spending and sticking to your budget plan, you can improve your financial literacy. For those who need extra guidance, seeking professional financial advice or attending workshops can further your understanding and help you stay accountable.
