🎃 Pumpkin Bread

Ingredients:

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1/2 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp baking soda

1/2 tsp salt

1 tsp ground cinnamon

1/2 tsp ground nutmeg

1/4 tsp ground cloves

1/4 tsp ground ginger

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

1 cup granulated sugar

2 large eggs

1 cup canned pumpkin puree

1/4 cup water or milk

1 tsp vanilla extract

Optional: 1/2 cup chopped nuts (e.g., walnuts or pecans) or chocolate chips

Directions:

1. Preheat the Oven:

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x5-inch loaf pan, or line it with parchment paper.

2. Prepare the Dry Ingredients:

In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and ginger. Set aside.

3. Cream the Butter and Sugar:

In a large bowl, beat the softened butter and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy.

Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.

4. Add Pumpkin and Vanilla:

Mix in the pumpkin puree and vanilla extract until combined.

5. Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients:

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with the water or milk, beginning and ending with the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined.

Fold in any optional add-ins, such as nuts or chocolate chips.

6. Bake:

Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.

Bake in the preheated oven for 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

7. Cool and Serve:

Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
