1 tsp Dried Basil

Drain peaches and save liquid. Sear/Brown Chicken in 1 tbsp vegetable oil. Combine all the remaining ingredients except for the corn starch. Mix and pour over the chicken. Cover for 20-30 minutes and simmer (or until chicken is done). Add in peaches to warm, then mix corn starch and 2 tbsp of water. Pour into the sauce to thicken. Serve over rice, enjoy!
.
To upgrade this, I’d use skin on chicken thighs, season them before searing, remove the clove, and add a bit of hot honey to the sauce for a bit of twang, let me know what you think! #chickenoverrice #Chicken #Recipes #FoodReview #CannedFood
Okay, fellow foodies, let me tell you about a dish that recently stole my heart: Peachy Chicken! I stumbled upon this recipe, almost like a 'back of the box' gem, and it's ridiculously simple yet packed with flavor. If you're anything like me, always on the hunt for a delicious, fuss-free meal that doesn't demand hours in the kitchen, then you HAVE to try this. It’s perfect for those busy evenings when you crave something homemade but quick. Now, let's talk about the stars of this show. Using canned peaches might sound unconventional, but trust me, they're a secret weapon for quick weeknight meals. They bring that perfect balance of natural sweetness without the fuss of fresh fruit prep, and their syrup actually enriches the sauce beautifully. You get that delightful peachy flavor permeating every bite of the tender chicken. But the real game-changer for me in this recipe is the malt vinegar. I usually reach for a quality brand, like Heinz Gourmet Malt Vinegar, because it adds this incredible tangy, slightly malty note that brilliantly cuts through the sweetness of the peaches. It elevates the entire dish, transforming it from just sweet chicken into a complex, savory-sweet sensation. It's not just for fish and chips, people – malt vinegar truly shines here! For those of you looking to perfect this dish, here are a few of my personal tips. Don't skip searing the chicken! That golden-brown crust adds so much depth and initial flavor before it even starts simmering. Also, getting that perfect sauce consistency is key. When it's time to thicken, make sure your cornstarch slurry is lump-free and stir it into the simmering sauce gradually until it reaches your desired thickness. It should be glossy and coat the back of a spoon beautifully. Want to take it up a notch? My personal upgrade advice is to definitely go for skin-on chicken thighs instead of skinless pieces. The skin gets wonderfully crispy, and the fat renders into the sauce, adding another layer of richness. And always, always season your chicken generously with salt and pepper before you even think about searing it – it makes a huge difference! For a little extra 'twang' and a touch of heat, a drizzle of hot honey at the very end is a game-changer. It adds a subtle warmth and another layer of sweet-savory complexity that you won't regret. While serving this peachy chicken over rice is a classic choice, it's also fantastic with couscous, quinoa, or even creamy mashed potatoes. I sometimes pair it with a simple green salad to balance out the richness. This dish truly proves that delicious, gourmet-tasting meals don't require fancy ingredients or endless prep. It's a testament to how simple pantry items, like a good quality malt vinegar and canned peaches, can create something truly special and satisfying for your family. Have you ever tried using malt vinegar in a chicken dish, or cooked with canned peaches in a savory way?
