Home Fries recipe

Ingredients:

• 2 medium Yukon Gold potatoes, diced into small cubes

• ½ small onion, diced

• 1 clove garlic, minced

• ½ jalapeño (for spice) or ½ small bell pepper (for mild flavor), diced

• 1–1½ tablespoons olive oil or butter

• ½ teaspoon smoked paprika

• ¼ teaspoon garlic powder

• Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Potatoes:

• Place the diced potatoes in a bowl of cold water and rinse

• Drain and pat them dry

2. Cook the Potatoes:

• Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil or butter in a medium skillet over medium heat.

• Add the potatoes in an even layer and cook, stirring occasionally, for 8–10 minutes until they start to turn golden and crispy.

3. Add the Vegetables:

• Push the potatoes to one side of the skillet. Add the remaining ½ tablespoon of olive oil or butter to the empty space, then add the diced onion and jalapeño or bell pepper. Sauté for 2–3 minutes until softened.

4. Combine and Season:

• Stir the potatoes and vegetables together. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute

• Sprinkle with smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.

5. Finish Cooking:

• Continue cooking for about 5 more minutes until the potatoes are crispy and fully cooked
