Learning all the time
This is the year I’ve learned that my jewelry does NOT do well at every market. The amount of negative comments I get about my work being “creepy, disgusting, gross, or disturbing” along with complaints about the price point being too high is super tough to take sometimes. Especially when it’s back to back with people who come to my booth. It truly drains my soul and creativity.
I get that my work isn’t for everyone. But dang some things people say are sooo rude. And unprompted. Oh the life of an artist. We simply cannot please all of you.
I had two pretty rough markets this weekend but one that was also super amazing! The support, vibe, and love for me and my work was so heart filling!
