It can be so easy to stay in a downward spiral or be stuck in a negative mindset.
I myself find myself feeling sad, lost, or not good enough in life and in work.
Surrounding yourself with more negative people will drag you down! Find those who hope. Find someone with some positive delusion. That stuff is contagious! And will push you forward and help keep your head up!
I've experienced firsthand how challenging it can be to escape negative thought loops during stressful times. For me, when I felt lost or not good enough—whether in my personal or professional life—the turning point was consciously choosing to connect with people who radiated hope and optimism. Their positive energy was infectious and helped me shift my perspective gradually. One strategy that helped was setting small, achievable goals and sharing them with a supportive friend or mentor. Their encouragement kept me accountable and reminded me of my progress, even on tough days. I also found that limiting time spent with chronically negative individuals reduced feelings of discouragement and anxiety. Cultivating some 'positive delusion'—that is, maintaining an optimistic belief in better days ahead without being unrealistic—was crucial for me. It provided motivation to keep trying and helped dissolve the weight of past disappointments. Celebrating small wins, practicing gratitude, and focusing on potential rather than setbacks made a significant difference. Overall, the company you keep greatly affects your mindset. Surrounding yourself with hopeful people who believe in growth and improvement acts like a buoy when you feel overwhelmed by negativity. Positivity isn't about ignoring problems but choosing to approach them with a constructive attitude that fuels resilience and well-being.
