Night Shift (Evie James)

Night Shift

Evie James

This is the third book of Evie James that I have read. She has rapidly become one of my favorite authors. Her ability to create complex and compelling characters, along with a relatable world make me excited to devour her novels. Samantha is beautifully written. As a survivor of childhood domestic violence myself it felt incredibly raw to share Samantha’s history. I wanted to wrap the character up and keep her safe. So when Atticus steps into the picture and her whole world gets turned upside down there is also a healing that took place as these characters learned to trust one another. And Evie James has the ability to add a spicy delicacy to her more intimate scenes. Definitely check out her work, it is worth the read.
