Twisted (Unshatter)
Olivia Cooper
Riley is the type of character you just want good things for. She wants to own her life and embrace who she is unapologetically. She’s the type of woman who realized she made herself small for the comfort of others and decides she’s done being small. Her choices become her own, but could those choices lead her into trouble she isn’t prepared for?
Gael is the quiet, brooding type. Her brother’s best friend. The one she isn’t supposed to want. Sharp edges and dark desires.
Aside from the romance of the plot, we also have a mystery that is absolutely mind-blowing. I did not see that coming. Oliva Cooper brilliantly brings it all together for an incredible ending you don’t see coming.
I recently finished reading Twisted (Unshatter) by Olivia Cooper, and what stood out most was how the characters felt so real and relatable. Riley’s journey to stop making herself small for others really resonated with me—it's a powerful reminder to own who you truly are despite the risks involved. The dynamic between her and Gael, the quiet yet intense brother’s best friend, added an intriguing tension that kept me hooked. What I found especially captivating was the way the book weaves a mystery that keeps you guessing until the very end. The phrase from the story, "She knew the rumors, she followed the danger anyways," perfectly captures that thrilling tension and suspense that runs throughout. It made me reflect on how sometimes, the things we're warned about or afraid of end up being the very paths that force us to grow. If you're someone who enjoys romance with depth and an unexpected twist, this book offers a blend of both in a way that feels fresh and authentic. Olivia Cooper’s skillful storytelling gave me an incredible ending that didn’t just resolve the mystery but also gave emotional closure to the characters’ development. For readers looking for a novel that explores personal transformation, complex relationships, and the allure of danger, Twisted (Unshatter) is definitely worth a read. It’s a reminder that embracing our true selves, despite the risks, can lead to profound and unforeseen growth.
