My daughter will never open another toy. 💔
That sentence hurts in a way I don't think l'll ever be able to explain
I'll never get to see Luna's face light up over something she loves again. I'll never hear her ask me to open it before we even make it out of the store. I'll never get another Christmas morning, another birthday, another "Mom, look!"
But I still have all this love for her. And I still need somewhere to put it.
So we put it here 💜🌙
Into toys. Into smiles. Into moments of joy for other kids who are going through things no child should ever have to go through.
This was our Summer of Joy toy drive drop-off, and every single toy you see was given because a little girl named Luna was here.
She was here. She mattered. She still matters.
And as long as l'm here, l'll keep finding ways for her love to reach people.
Thank you to every single person who donated, shared, or helped make this possible. You helped me carry my daughter's love a little further. I would not be able to do this without you!!!!
Sharing from personal experience, I have found that turning grief into meaningful action can be a powerful way to heal and honor the memory of a loved one. Participating in toy drives, especially for children affected by childhood cancer, creates a ripple effect of kindness and hope that reaches far beyond just gifts. Each toy donated represents not only a moment of joy for the recipient child but also a way to keep the spirit of those we've lost alive in a tangible, heartwarming way. I remember how organizing similar drives brought communities together, offering comfort and a sense of purpose to many grieving families. Moreover, involving children in the donation process helps them understand empathy and the importance of sharing, even from a young age. It becomes a legacy of compassion passed on and a celebration of life amid challenging circumstances. If you are looking to contribute or start your own initiative, consider partnering with local nonprofits that focus on childhood cancer support. These collaborations amplify the reach and impact of donations like toys or art supplies, such as jumbo paint and style sets, which can provide creative outlets for children in hospitals. In Luna's memory, let us continue to fill rooms not with sorrow but with laughter and color, transforming the pain of loss into enduring love and community support.
