Can i train your dragon?

While its not Disney this was one of my favorite looks as well!

I absolutely loved the fur details in the shoulder strap, shoes, belt, and skirt!

I got the skirt from Fashion Nova, and the other accessories from Shein.

Can we talk about how the braids/gold in the wig i had on truly tied the look together??

However, im glad this was a "change to match the vibes day" because in all honesty even though it was the first day in May it was still insanely hot to wear fur in the FL heat AND it lowkey attracted bugs.

... Read moreWhen it comes to cosplay, one of the best parts is making a look truly your own, even if it's inspired by iconic franchises like 'How to Train Your Dragon.' For me, focusing on textured details made all the difference. I found that incorporating fur into my shoulder strap, shoes, belt, and skirt gave the outfit a rich, authentic vibe that stood out without copying the exact Disney style. I sourced the skirt from Fashion Nova, which provided both comfort and a flattering silhouette. The other accessories, including the fur pieces, were from Shein, showing how budget-friendly finds can still elevate a costume when chosen carefully. The braids combined with gold accents in my wig weren’t just a finishing touch—they really pulled the entire look together, adding warmth and dimension. It’s worth noting that when planning cosplay in hot climates like Florida, fur accents can be a challenge. On the day I wore this, it was early May but already sweltering, and the fur attracted some bugs, which is something to prepare for. Using a lightweight faux fur or strategically placing it only where it makes the biggest impact could help in future warm-weather cosplay. For anyone thinking about creating their own 'How to Train Your Dragon' inspired costume, I’d recommend focusing on textures and accessories to capture the vibe without necessarily replicating the characters exactly. It also helps to pick pieces you can mix and match, so your look feels personal and comfortable. Whether it’s braided details, metallic accents, or layered clothing, finding what suits your style helps make your cosplay experience memorable and fun.
