Incorporating essential oils such as tea tree and lavender adds antibacterial properties that combat odor-causing bacteria while imparting a pleasant scent. Tea tree oil is well-known for its antimicrobial effects, and lavender oil promotes soothing and calming skin benefits. To prepare, measure 5 tablespoons each of shea butter and coconut oil, melt them gently, then mix in 3 tablespoons of baking soda and half a cup of cornstarch. Add 12 drops each of tea tree and lavender essential oils, blend thoroughly, and pour the mixture into a container. Refrigerate for about 2 hours until solidified before use.
