The Worst Week Of My Life
September 10, 2022: I had to put my childhood dog down
September 13, 2022: It finally hit that he wasn’t coming back and that was the first day I fully broke down.
September 16, 2022: This was the first day I got out of my bed and washed my hair since the 10th. We had ran some errands and it felt good to get out.
September 17, 2022: Not only was this the day I had to pick up my dog’s ashes but I also ended up in the hospital. I was in severe pain in my lower abdomen. I couldn’t breathe, laugh, talk, walk around, etc without being in extreme discomfort. This was also the day we discovered my Morphine allergy.
September 18, 2022: this was the day I had my appendix removed. I was .1 away from it bursting which would not have been a good thing.
And through all of this I still had school, other animals to take care of, etc etc.

Losing a beloved pet can be one of life's most challenging experiences, often triggering profound grief and emotional turmoil. It's essential to allow yourself to grieve and to seek support from friends and family during such difficult times. When you lose a pet, it can feel as if you have lost a part of your family, as pets often bring immense joy and unconditional love into our lives. In addition to dealing with the pain of loss, unexpected medical issues, such as the development of allergies or an urgent medical condition, can intensify the emotional burden. During such life challenges, maintaining self-care becomes vital. Engaging in simple activities like going outside, taking care of other pets, or practicing mindfulness can help manage stress and grief. Seeking professional help, through counseling or pet loss support groups, can also provide valuable coping tools. Remember that healing takes time and it is okay to express vulnerability when coping with significant life changes. You are not alone in this journey, and many have faced similar struggles and found their way through them.
