... Read moreHey Lemon8 fam! ✨ I'm so excited to finally be sharing my art with you all, especially since this is my first post! As an artist, there's nothing quite like bringing beloved characters to life in a fresh way, and lately, I've been completely obsessed with creating humanized versions of the classic Thomas the Tank Engine crew. It's been such a fun challenge to imagine what Edward, Thomas, Henry, Gordon, James, and Percy would look like if they were people working on the North Western Railway. For me, the key is capturing their distinct personalities. For instance, Edward, with his calm and wise demeanor, often inspires a more traditional, perhaps slightly older, uniform style, while Thomas, ever the cheeky little engine, gets a design that reflects his playful spirit. I pay close attention to details from their original designs – like the iconic blue, green, and red uniforms, their engine numbers, and of course, those signature NWR hats! Seeing them in human form, interacting and expressing themselves, really opens up a whole new world of fanart possibilities. It’s not just about drawing a person; it’s about translating the essence of a train into a human identity, ensuring they’re still recognizable to fellow fans. It feels truly special to contribute to the ttte fanart community with these ttte humanized drawings. I especially had fun with ttte edward human fanart, trying to capture his gentle strength. Beyond the railway, I also love diving into more general aesthetic sketching, which you might have spotted in some of my silly sketches. I often browse pinterest for cute aesthetic sketch ideas or inspiration for my journal drawings. There's something incredibly therapeutic about filling a sketchbook with quick, expressive drawings that capture a mood or a moment. Whether it's a whimsical character or a simple doodle, these aesthetic drawing sessions are a fantastic way to unwind and experiment. I find that these kinds of journal drawings don't need to be perfect; they’re more about the process and expressing a feeling. Sometimes I even think about trying out different mediums, like poster colors, for an easy poster colour drawing style, to add more vibrancy to these personal art pieces. The black and white sketches in my collection are prime examples of just letting ideas flow, often resulting in humorous and expressive interactions between characters. I love that spontaneous energy! And yes, even that random pink cat's head on the train was a moment of playful inspiration! It’s truly a joy to blend these different styles – from detailed ttte edward human designs to spontaneous, humorous sketches. Each piece tells a story, and I love seeing how they evolve on paper. I’m always learning and growing, and I hope by sharing my journey, it might inspire some of you to pick up a pencil and start sketching too!
