Reviewing Gluten Free Vegan Trader Joe’s Items
𝚃𝚛𝚊𝚍𝚎𝚛 𝙹𝚘𝚎’𝚜 𝙶𝚛𝚘𝚌𝚎𝚛𝚢 𝚂𝚝𝚘𝚛𝚎 is affordable, healthy and filled with the perfect variety of things without being over cluttered. This is why I think I keep coming back. Here’s a review of some gluten free vegan items with my honest opinion. Keep in mind the sauce with the spring rolls has soy sauce which isn’t gluten free so if you’re allergic to gluten then it won’t work for you. I am just sensitive to it.
Item: Tofu Spring Roll
Review: Overall small and bland for the price but something I would only get if I’m pretty hungry and need something quick. Whole Foods has better spring rolls and sushi.
Item: Seasoned Popcorn
Review: This has barely any seasoning so I’m not a fan but it tasted like it’s low in fat and sodium if you’re looking for that. Later at home I added more nutritional yeast for flavor.
Stepping into Trader Joe's is always an adventure, especially when you're on the hunt for delicious vegan and gluten-free finds! Beyond the spring rolls and popcorn I mentioned earlier, my basket is often filled with other amazing discoveries that cater to a plant-based, gluten-free lifestyle. It's all about knowing what to look for and sometimes, taking a chance on something new. Lately, I've been really into their snack aisle. For those craving something savory and crunchy, Trader Joe's often carries fantastic Root Vegetable Chips. I've tried their baked varieties, and they are usually naturally gluten-free and vegan, made with things like sweet potatoes, parsnips, and taro. They offer a satisfying crunch without feeling overly greasy, which is a big plus for me. They're perfect on their own or with a creamy, dairy-free dip. The pricing is usually very budget-friendly too, which makes them a regular pick-up for me when heading to a potluck or just needing a quick snack at home. And if you're looking for unique treats, like the idea of something innovative such as 'cauliflower fudge' (which sounds like an interesting concept!), TJ's does have some surprisingly delightful vegan and gluten-free desserts. While I haven't seen cauliflower fudge specifically, I'm always impressed by their Hold the Dairy! Mini Coconut Vanilla Flavored Non-Dairy Frozen Dessert Cones. They're small, perfectly portioned, and hit the spot when I need a sweet, creamy treat without any dairy or gluten. Another sweet staple I often grab is their Dark Chocolate Bar selection – many of them are surprisingly vegan and gluten-free, but always remember to check the label for unexpected ingredients. It's amazing how many options they have now! Shopping vegan and gluten-free at Trader Joe's can feel like decoding a secret menu sometimes, but it gets easier. My biggest tip is to always, always read the ingredient list, even on items you've bought before. Recipes can change! I've also found their frozen section to be a goldmine for quick, easy meals. Their Vegan Kale, Cashew & Basil Pesto (amazing with GF pasta) is a regular in my cart, and their Gluten-Free Norwegian Crispbread is fantastic with avocado or their vegan cream cheese alternative. For protein, their organic tofu is consistently affordable and versatile. It's clear that Trader Joe's understands the growing demand for dietary-specific products. They're constantly introducing new items, making it exciting to explore. From savory snacks like the root vegetable chips to satisfying sweet treats, there's always something new to discover that fits my dietary needs without breaking the bank. What are some of your favorite vegan and gluten-free finds at Trader Joe's? I'd love to hear your recommendations!

I wasn’t a fan of the popcorn either. Disappointing 😕
