As I was scrolling on pinterest for a little I seen the template (last slide) I could use to help fold all my shirts and still have my closet space, i have been using this for a couple years now and it has been so helpful, I recommend you guys trying it!!
Okay, so when I first moved, my closet situation was a complete disaster. I had so many clothes, and even though they were technically folded, it felt like a 'BEFORE' image of complete disarray – just stacks everywhere, taking up all the space! I knew there had to be a better way to keep all my favorite clothes without needing a bigger house, and that's when I dove into the world of smart folding. The shirt folding trick I shared has been an absolute game-changer. It's not just about making things look neat; it’s about creating an 'AFTER' effect where everything is 'neatly folded and arranged vertically,' allowing me to see every single shirt without pulling out a stack. My initial folding technique, which I found online, is essentially a simplified 'six-step visual guide' that helps turn any t-shirt into a 'small, rectangular shape for efficient storage.' This compact folding makes a huge difference, especially in drawers where space is precious. But it doesn't stop at shirts! I quickly realized I could apply similar 'efficient space-saving' methods to almost everything. For bulkier items like sweatshirts and hoodies, the key is to also aim for that compact, rectangular form. Instead of just folding them in half, I'll fold the sleeves in first, then fold the sides towards the center, and finally fold it up from the bottom. This keeps them from becoming shapeless lumps and allows for that crucial 'vertical folded clothes shelf organization.' My wardrobe shelves have never looked better! And let's talk about the dreaded fitted sheet. For years, I just balled them up, and they looked so 'disorganized and taking up significant space.' But I’ve found a simple way: I lay the sheet flat, tucking one corner into its adjacent corner, then those two into the third, and finally all four corners together. Then, it's just a matter of folding it into a flat, compact rectangle. It feels like magic when you get it right, and suddenly, your linen closet is so much tidier. Applying these 'folding clothes step by step' principles has transformed my entire closet and drawers. It’s not just about how you fold, but *why*. When everything is 'compact and organized,' choosing an outfit becomes so much easier, and you truly maximize every inch of space. It's a simple life hack that brings so much peace to my daily routine. If your closet is feeling overwhelmed, I highly recommend trying out these compact, vertical folding methods – you’ll be amazed at how much space you gain and how much more functional your wardrobe becomes!
