My Favorite F Words 🍋
Twenties are a crazy time. We’re finding ourselves, establishing ourselves, educating ourselves, all while paying the bills and trying make time to visit our grandparents.
It’s easy to lose sight of the important things in life, esp when we’re distracted by the latest TikTok trend.
But it’s time to focus on the important things in life. Things that directly affect our success as adults.
The five “F” words.
Finance: no one likes a broke b**** and no one likes being a broke b**** - let’s budget. Write out your monthly income and pay attention to where you’re spending your money. How much are you saving? How much are you spending on things you really don’t need? Let me tell you something bc sis, it’s cute to pay things off. It’s cute to have a down payment for a house. Credit card debt is not the vibe.
Friends & Family: what really matters in this world is the relationships you build with others. Spending time with your people you love is so good for your soul. Having a support system is crucial in life. You have to pour into every relationship. Stop only talking to your friends and family when just need something. Check in on everyone. You need them and they need you.
Fitness: get that body moving babe. Isn’t it crazy, the more you exercise the MORE ENERGY you have?! Take care of your body. You only have one. Exercise 4-5 times a week for 45 min - 1 hr. And I mean active exercise. No huge breaks, no half ass movements. I promise you, you will feel better and be happier.
Food: what we put in our bodies MATTERS. Our body responds to what we put into it. Pay attention. Honestly just being more mindful is the best start to eating better. Start by cooking a few meals, stop eating out so much. Drink less alcohol. Eat less sugar. Don’t cut it completely out bc that would be madness, but less. You can do it and your body will thank you.
Farm: okay look I couldn’t think of an f word for house. Take care of your home. Make it a home. Keep it clean. Pick up after yourself. Set a schedule for deep cleaning day. Hang some pictures. Make it yours. It’s your space. Take pride in it. And do your freaking laundry.
Moral of the story: take care of yourself and your things and your people. When you have free time, mentally go through each “f” word and evaluate yourself. If you think you can improve somewhere then in that moment, DO IT. You’ll be so thankful you did.
