Sick and Single Doesn’t Mix Well Story Time

I have food poisoning/ a stomach bug. I woke up

Wednesday morning feeling nauseous and faint. Wednesday before work, is my therapy days. I rushed to shower and get ready for my tele health appointment.

Y’all know mental wellness is important to me. Anyways, I’m talking to my therapist slow, and I told her I feel like I wanna puke. After therapy, I go to clock in. I let my manager know that I think I have food poisoning. I work for two hours, before I’m too weak to work.

I fall asleep and I have the chills really bad! Before falling asleep, I ordered fluids off of doordash. I woke up and took two sips of ginger ale…. BOOM I started to puke up my guts.

I was extremely sick and left to fiend for myself. I couldn’t make it off of the couch. Steps were hard for me to take; I took about 3 steps every three hours.

Today, I have body aches, headache and have barely eaten since Tuesday.

Natural remedies may offer some comfort; for instance, soursop has been recognized for its potential health benefits. Staying hydrated is crucial, so consider keeping electrolyte solutions or ginger ale on hand to alleviate nausea. Additionally, you can try gentle stretches and warming blankets for body aches. Though social connections may seem distant, reaching out to friends or using teletherapy services can provide emotional support, even from the couch. Remember to listen to your body, rest as much as needed, and don't hesitate to seek medical advice if symptoms persist. Self-compassion during recovery is vital, allowing yourself the grace to heal fully before jumping back into life.
