Decorating my sketchbook cover!
I’m going to do the 75 hard art challenge and I wanted my sketchbook to look cute!
As much as I’m a book girly, I am first and foremost an art girly 🥰
while doing this challenge I’m going to try to both draw AND post everyday. Daunting, I know! But I want to be held accountable, so to the internet I post!
There will also definitely be bookish art to come as well!!
Decorating your sketchbook cover is a fantastic way to personalize your art journey and boost your motivation, especially when embarking on demanding projects like the 75 Hard Art Challenge. Using Strathmore mixed media paper and vellum can provide a versatile base that supports various artistic techniques, ranging from vibrant markers to delicate layering with colored pencils or watercolors. Incorporating stickers adds a playful and personalized charm. Whether they're art-related phrases like 'I'm fine, busy' or nostalgic 90s-inspired graphics, stickers can bring a unique vibe that resonates with your creative identity. It's also useful to experiment with vellum overlays to add depth and texture, creating an engaging visual effect on your sketchbook cover. While decorating, consider combining different art supplies to maximize the mixed-media potential—try acrylics for bold color blocks paired with ink outlines or incorporate hand-lettered quotes for inspiration. This multi-technique approach not only beautifies your sketchbook but also serves as a creative warm-up each time you open it. Additionally, showcasing your decorated sketchbook on social media or community platforms holds you accountable and connects you with fellow artists embracing similar challenges. Sharing your progress under hashtags like #sketchbookcover, #artchallenge, and #stickers can inspire others and encourage constructive feedback. Remember, the goal is to make your sketchbook a source of joy and motivation. Every time you add a new design or sticker, you're reinforcing your commitment to nurture your artistic growth while making the challenge fun and visually rewarding.
