When I first visited Ding Kee at Eco Botanic during their trial opening, I was impressed by how the curry fish head managed to be fragrant without overwhelming the palate — it struck a perfect balance. The addition of red dates in the curry gave it a subtle sweetness that complemented the savory fish beautifully. One standout for me was the morel mushroom herbal chicken soup. It was so soothing and nourishing, clearly made with care, which made me think this place really values creating dishes that comfort both body and soul. It's an excellent choice, especially for those seeking warmth during cooler days or festive family meals. The fresh tofu in their jade golden broth added a refreshing and light contrast to the meal. It's great to see a dish that doesn't compete but enhances the flavors on the table. Also, the kung pao mantis shrimp was a delightful surprise — slightly spicy with a hint of fragrance that paired perfectly with steamed rice, making me want an extra serving! Families and seniors will appreciate the approachable flavors here, as my mom did when she eagerly recommended coming here for Lunar New Year meals. It’s the kind of place where you focus more on the food’s quality and comfort rather than fancy descriptions. The generous ingredients like long beans and eggplants included in the dishes made it a wholesome, satisfying experience. For those planning a visit, Ding Kee at Eco Botanic is conveniently located behind He Le Wu, at No.40, Jalan Eco Botani 2B. It's a spot I’m keen to return to for another cozy meal and to try more from their menu, including some local Taiwan-inspired options they offer at the Eco Botanic food hub.
