Trying to conceive (TTC) after fibroid removal and surgery requires a holistic approach to support reproductive health and optimize fertility. Supplements such as vitex (chasteberry), black strap molasses, and ashwagandha are often used to help regulate menstrual cycles, support hormonal balance, and reduce stress—all important factors to improve fertility. Vitex is known to promote regular ovulation by balancing the pituitary gland hormones, which can be particularly beneficial after surgery that may temporarily disrupt hormone levels. Black strap molasses is a rich source of iron and minerals that help replenish the body and support overall reproductive health. Ashwagandha, an adaptogenic herb, helps reduce stress and supports adrenal function, which can positively affect fertility. Additional supplements that may promote fertility include prenatal vitamins with folic acid (as seen in the recognized prenatal supplements), vitamin B12, and fertility support formulations designed to enhance ovulation and menstrual regularity. Tracking ovulation cycles through methods like basal body temperature or ovulation predictor kits can also increase chances of conception. It is crucial to approach TTC after fibroid removal with patience and guidance from fertility specialists. Maintaining a balanced diet, managing stress, and regular checkups to monitor reproductive health can support a healthy pregnancy journey. Incorporating community support through TTC or fertility journey forums provides emotional encouragement and shared experiences that can be invaluable during this time.
