There are times when life seems convincingly linear, progressing in a straight line and the turns feel familiar and predictable enough. Then there are times where it feels akin to a ball on a roulette wheel, spinning and twirling until we find ourselves tossed entirely off the predicted track, onto a more or lesser state of being. The Wheel of Fortune reminds us that there is danger to getting too comfortable in either the ups or downs of life. Neither is to stay forever.
