How I’m feeling about…

As a mom you never want to imagine your little baby getting hurt. It does happen though. My little one recently learned how to roll and he decided to roll right off the bed.

We decided to cosleep from a week old because little man hated his bassinet. I wasn’t sleeping and neither was he. We made the move and he slept so much better. We follow safe 7 and do the cuddle curl with him in between me and dad. It was going great but he’s getting more adventurous and rolling EVERYWHERE.

Last week dad was out of town and I didn’t think anything of it but we were sleeping normally In the cuddle curl then I woke up to him crying on the floor. I don’t know how he escaped and it was the worst feeling ever. I felt like I let him down and I knew we had to make it safer for him. We made the decision to move his crib in our room. I couldn’t handle the thought of him being in a desperate room so this was a healthy compromise.

It’s day 2 of trying to get him comfortable with it and I think I’m having a harder time than him. I hate the feeling of being so far away even if it’s just bars between us. I can’t feel him or see him breathe and I keep waking up looking for him. On one hand I know it’s safer on the other I just want him close to me 🥺. I feel selfish for wanting him close in that perspective but I’m going to stick with it for his safety even though it hurts my mama heart. His crying hurt it more.

... Read moreTransitioning your baby from cosleeping to a crib can be an emotional challenge for many parents. In this stage, babies often become more active and curious, posing new safety concerns. Following safe sleep guidelines, such as the Safe Sleep 7, helps create a secure sleeping environment. Cosleeping can provide comfort, but as your baby grows and begins to move around, establishing a separate sleep space is crucial to prevent accidents. It is essential to stay informed about the latest recommendations from pediatric experts on safe sleep habits for infants. Most experts advise against laying the baby on soft bedding or having loose items in the crib to minimize the risk of suffocation. Additionally, consider your emotional well-being as a parent; it's normal to feel conflicted about wanting proximity and ensuring safety. Seeking support from parenting communities can also help you navigate these feelings as you find a balance between closeness and safety for your baby.

Feeling lost and don’t know what to do.
I’m hoping that this can be a safe space for me to just… vent. I’m 30 years old and I genuinely feel so lost in life. I don’t feel pretty anymore. I don’t take care of myself as I should. I feel like I’m failing as a mom. I don’t have any friends. Some days I just want to lie in bed all day and do

The Part of Love Nobody Talks About‼️
