✨EP.1 IF YOU LIKE THIS YOU’LL LIKE THAT✨

✨Do you like blind shopping or do you like smelling a scent first? I like to smell them first or to know if there is something in my collection similar so I know I will like it.

✨I took a whim on these and they did not disappoint

✨So do you agree with the notes, do you have better comparison and do you have something that smells similar to Beijos de Sol?

I’m usually in the ‘smell it first’ camp, but sometimes, a beautiful bottle or intriguing notes just call my name, and I take a leap of faith. That’s exactly what happened with some of my recent Sol de Janeiro finds, and I’m so glad I went for it! Let's talk about the star of the show for many, Beijos De Sol. This one truly lives up to its promise of making you smell like you just came from the beach. The blend of peach skin, coconut milk, and frangipani petals creates such a dreamy, sun-kissed aroma. It’s warm, inviting, and effortlessly tropical without being overly sweet. It's my go-to for days when I want to feel transported to a sunny paradise, even if I'm just running errands. I've found it pairs wonderfully with a simple coconut body lotion to really amplify that beachy vibe and make the scent last longer. Then there’s Summer E Amor, which I found to be a bit lighter and sweeter than Beijos de Sol. If you prefer a more subtle, delicate tropical scent, this one might be your perfect match. It has a youthful, carefree feel that’s just perfect for daytime wear. On the other hand, Carioca Crush brings a different kind of playfulness. It leans more into the fruity and floral notes, making it vibrant and energetic. Both Summer E Amor and Carioca Crush are fantastic for layering, especially if you want to add a touch of sweetness or a burst of fruitiness to another scent that might be too heavy on its own. They truly are scent sisters in their own right, each bringing a unique personality to the Sol de Janeiro family. For those of you who, like me, rely on reviews or notes before committing to a blind purchase, I’ve learned a few tricks. Always look at the key scent notes – for example, if you see creamy almond listed, you can expect a warm, comforting sweetness. I found that paying attention to these details, alongside reading descriptions that paint a picture of the scent’s vibe (like ‘same playfulness’ or ‘a bit lighter’), helps immensely. Ultimately, discovering these mists has been such a joy, and I hope my personal comparisons help you find your next favorite Sol de Janeiro scent!
