It might seem like a small step, but it really helps prevent accidents and keeps the cooking process smooth. Though I sometimes skip using a cutting board—honestly, it happens!—having one can make chopping ingredients much easier and safer. I’ve learned it’s better to take a bit of extra time prepping so you can focus more on assembling your burritos and dips beautifully. Another tip is about the consistency of ingredients for your dip. It’s important to aim for a texture that’s thick but not overly so, allowing the flavors to come through nicely and making it easy to scoop with chips or tortillas. If the cheese or any other ingredients are fighting to come together, don’t be discouraged—just gently mixing or warming slightly usually helps everything blend perfectly. Creating these dishes brings back meaningful memories of cooking with my dad, and I’m eager to keep making videos and sharing these moments. If you’re starting out, don’t worry about perfection; embrace the process, experiment with your favorite flavors, and above all, enjoy the time spent creating something tasty and personal.
