It’s essential to focus on supporting survivors and understanding that self-defense is a legitimate response to immediate danger. Educating others about consent, respect, and personal safety contributes to changing societal attitudes and reducing incidences of sexual assault. The conversation must emphasize that no one asks to be attacked, regardless of their clothing or circumstances, and that defending one’s life is both justified and courageous. By sharing personal stories and encouraging open dialogue, we help break the silence and promote a safer environment for everyone.
