This is another quick and easy cowboy romance to read. I really loved diving into Wes and Ada’s story after seeing them in book 1. Watching them deal with their own histories and come together was amazing. The mental health representation was also a nice addition to this story. I’ll definitely be jumping right into book 3, because I finally get Gus and Teddy’s story!

how many of you guessed the series before i revealed it? the poppy war is a grimdark military fantasy series, and it has a lot of disturbing elements. it doesn’t shy away from the realities and horrors of war, so if you find that content upsetting i would not recommend picking up these books.
