It was one of the hottest day of the year so we had abalone ginseng chicken soup.

Koreans don’t beat the summer heat with iced tea… they do it with boiling hot soup! 🥵🍲

Samgyetang (ginseng chicken soup) is a centuries-old summer tradition in Korea. The belief? Fight heat with heat. 🌞🔥

Packed with tender chicken, energizing ginseng, and nutrient-rich goodies, it makes you sweat, cool down, and bounce back from the summer slump. 💪

Today we are eating a premium version of samgyetang (ginseng chicken soup) which has abalone. Abalone is basically the ginseng of the sea—premium, nutrient-packed, and believed to restore energy, improve vision, and help you bounce back from fatigue.

spent the afternoon at louisa coffee in West Hollywood, sipping matcha, exploring the art gallery space, and getting some work done. i loved that it feels like more than just a coffee shop with plenty of seating, an outdoor patio, and even an upstairs event space available for private gatherings.
