This was never released footage from our Greece trip last year. It’s a little late but it’s better late than never right? The seafood was literally the best we’ve ever had in this little restaurant. Oh how I wish I could go back.

I think the location is To Steki Tou Maki, strollers, Athanaton 17-19, Athina 105 52. They might have expanded their restaurant. Hopefully it’s still amazing.

... Read moreDuring my travels to Greece, I stumbled upon To Steki Tou Maki, a quaint restaurant tucked away in Athens that left an everlasting impression on my palate. The highlight of my meal was the seafood, especially the huge shrimp, which were incredibly fresh and cooked to perfection. It's rare to find such quality and authentic Greek seafood outside of well-known tourist spots. What made the experience even more special was the unpretentious atmosphere—this place feels like a local secret where you can enjoy genuine flavors without the tourist frills. The restaurant's location on Athanaton street is easy to access, and it seems they’ve expanded, possibly to accommodate growing demand, which is a great sign of their popularity. If you ever crave seafood that tells a story of the Aegean Sea's freshness and Greek culinary art, this spot is a treasure. I highly recommend ordering their large shrimp, which are succulent and bursting with flavor. Also, exploring other traditional dishes alongside the seafood is a delight, as the quality and taste remain consistently impressive. My experience at To Steki Tou Maki showcased why Greek cuisine is celebrated worldwide—simple ingredients transformed through skillful cooking into unforgettable dishes. For anyone planning a trip to Athens or a food lover looking for a memorable culinary adventure, this restaurant offers an authentic taste of Greece that you won’t want to miss. Hopefully, the high standards continue, and future visitors will enjoy this place as much as I did.
