JESUS IS IN CONTROL 🤍

It's easy to feel lost, frustrated, or even anxious when life throws unexpected curveballs. But one particular Bible verse has become my anchor during these stormy seasons: John 16:33. The world promises trouble, right? Jesus didn't shy away from that truth. He said, 'In this world you will have trouble.' But He didn't stop there. He followed it with the most powerful assurance: 'But take heart! I have overcome the world.' This isn't just a comforting thought; it's a profound promise that shifts our perspective entirely. It's a REMINDER: that even 'when life doesn't go as planned and everything' feels chaotic, we have a source of unwavering peace. For me, truly grasping that 'JESUS is in control' has been a game-changer. It means I don't have to carry the burden of every detail or outcome. It's like the message I saw, 'remember the one who calms the raging sea is on your boat... JESUS is.' When I visualize Jesus in my 'boat' (my life), even if the waves are crashing, I know He holds the power to bring calm. This realization frees me from the need to constantly try to fix everything myself. So, how do I practically live this out? Faith journaling has become my sanctuary. When my plans derail, instead of spiraling into worry, I turn to my journal – often on my iPad using a digital planner – and pour out my thoughts and fears. Then, I intentionally write down verses like John 16:33, meditating on what it means for my current situation. This act of writing helps me process emotions and, more importantly, redirect my focus back to God's sovereignty. It’s a tangible way to practice 'faith over fear' and reaffirm that 'God is in control.' It's about finding that deep, abiding peace that isn't dependent on circumstances. It’s not about everything going perfectly; it’s about knowing that even when it doesn't, there's a higher purpose and a loving hand guiding it all for my good. This practice of surrendering my plans and trusting Him brings an inexplicable calm. The encouragement I find in His word and through this journaling transforms my outlook, turning moments of stress into opportunities for deeper trust and worship. It truly is uplifting to remember that while our plans might change, His perfect plan for us never does. So, if you're facing unexpected turns, take a moment. Meditate on John 16:33.
