You know that feeling when you wake up and just want today to be a *good day*? I've been there so many times! That popular quote, 'Today is a good day to have a good day,' always resonates with me. But how do we actually make that happen, especially when life throws its curveballs? For me, it starts with intentionality and prioritizing what matters most. I used to think having a good day just happened, or that it depended on external circumstances. But recently, I've realized it's more about how I choose to approach things, and honestly, my spiritual journey has played a huge part in helping me alter my perspective. It's about taking steps to truly alter you from the inside out. My journey really took off when I started diving deeper into God's word. And no, you don't need a fancy, leather-bound Bible to start! The beauty of today is that resources like the free Bible app or Enduring Word are literally at our fingertips. I remember feeling overwhelmed at first, wondering where to even begin. That's why I'm so passionate about making Bible study accessible and, dare I say, *fun*! We just launched our digital Bible study focusing on Colossians, and it's been such a game-changer. Colossians, in particular, is amazing because it talks so much about finding our identity in Christ and living a life that reflects that. When you understand your purpose and who you are in Him, it naturally helps you prioritize what matters and shed the things that don't serve your peace. It really helps you take control of your day, not letting your day control you. So, how does this link back to making today a good day? Setting Intentions: Before my feet even hit the floor, I try to spend a few minutes in prayer or reading a verse. It sets a positive tone and reminds me of God's presence. Finding Perspective: When challenges arise (because they always do!), turning to scripture helps me gain perspective. Instead of getting bogged down, I remember verses that speak to peace, patience, or perseverance. It helps me to process what's happening and how to move forward, rather than just reacting. Prioritizing What Matters: The Bible constantly reminds us to seek first the Kingdom of God. For me, this translates into making sure my actions align with my values. Am I spending my time on things that genuinely feed my soul and help me grow, or just on distractions? This self-reflection helps me to make conscious choices that contribute to a better day. It’s about taking action after you’ve reflected. Community & Encouragement: Sharing my journey, like I am with you now, and connecting with others who are also on this path, is incredibly uplifting. Knowing I'm not alone, and having a space to discuss what I'm learning, makes a huge difference. If you're looking for a way to consistently have a 'good day,' I genuinely encourage you to explore digital Bible study. It's not about being perfect; it's about being present and open to transformation. You'll be amazed at how much you can alter your outlook and your days simply by dedicating a little time to what truly matters. We're hoping to launch ALL the books of the Bible digitally by next year, so there will be plenty more to explore! Let's make every day an opportunity for growth and joy together!
