Salted Honey Latte ✨
A quick recipe! A step by step video is on my tiktok!
- Salted Honey
- Espresso
- Milk
- Sugar Free Vanilla Jello or Cheesecake Jello
- Cinnamon
Essentially, what you would do is layer the bottom of your cup with some salted honey, add some ice, brew, your espresso, pour some milk and add the espresso to the milk. Then you would take another third of a cup of milk and add some sugar-free Jell-O powder, which ever flavor you prefer, and froth the milk with that powder. This will create a sort of firmer , cold foam, and you would just add that on top with some cinnamon and enjoy! #honey latte #iced honeysuckle latte #honey latte #cold espresso #coffeesyruprecipe #coffeeorder #coffeeaesthetic
Okay, so who else is totally obsessed with those fancy coffee shop drinks but not so much with the price tag? That was definitely me! I’ve been on a mission to recreate my favorites at home, and let me tell you, this Salted Honey Iced Latte recipe with its special Jello cold foam is an absolute game-changer. It’s become my go-to treat, and I just had to share all my tips and tricks with you! First off, let's talk about the magic ingredient: that sugar-free Jell-O powder. When I first heard about using it for cold foam, I was skeptical, but trust me, it works wonders! It gives the frothed milk an incredible texture—it's firmer, thicker, and holds its shape so much better than regular cold foam. This means you get that delightful creamy sip with every single gulp, and it doesn't just disappear into your drink. I personally love the vanilla or cheesecake flavors because they add a subtle sweetness and richness without overpowering the honey. But honestly, you could experiment with other sugar-free options if you're feeling adventurous! Just remember to add a small amount to your milk before frothing for the best results. Now, for the other stars of the show. A good quality espresso is non-negotiable. Whether you have a fancy machine or a simple Moka pot, make sure your espresso shot is freshly brewed and strong. It’s the backbone of this latte, providing that rich, robust coffee flavor that perfectly balances the sweetness of the honey. I usually brew mine directly over ice to cool it down quickly if I'm making an iced latte, but some people prefer to chill it beforehand. Play around and see what you like best! And let's not forget the salted honey. You can buy pre-made salted honey, but I often just make my own by gently warming a little honey and stirring in a pinch of flaky sea salt. It’s so easy and allows you to control the saltiness. That sweet and salty combination is what makes this latte truly irresistible. Layering it at the bottom of the cup with ice before adding your milk and espresso creates a beautiful visual and ensures you get that lovely flavor throughout your drink. A generous sprinkle of cinnamon on top of that gorgeous Jello-infused frothed milk is the finishing touch – it adds warmth and a lovely aroma that completes the whole experience. What I love most about making this at home is the endless customization. You can choose your favorite milk – dairy, oat, almond, whatever you prefer – and adjust the sweetness to your liking. It's also incredibly satisfying to craft something so delicious that feels like it came straight from a gourmet coffee shop, but for a fraction of the cost. Plus, you get to impress your friends (or just yourself!) with your barista skills. Give this recipe a try; I promise you won't be disappointed!
