Chris Art Space Essentials 🤗💛
My art space is my little getaway spot. 💛😃I love to surround myself with bright colors and simple things that will make me smile like cute plushies, positive affirmations or miniature toys. I love good lighting (both natural and artificial) for creating my art and recording my videos for social media.
The nighttime is my favorite time to create because my kids are in bed sleeping and I have this quiet time to myself to freely create without any distractions. I’ll put on my favorite artist like Jackson Wang or BTS and off I go into my world of creativity and imagination. 😃💛👏🏼Then I can savor my favorite drink and snack while I create, free of my children begging for some too😂 like my Dr. Pepper and my Snickers Bar😂.

It's amazing how a dedicated art space can truly transform your creative output, especially when you're aiming to infuse your work with positivity. I've found that surrounding myself with things that spark joy directly translates into my art. If you're like me and searching for ways to channel good vibes onto your canvas, here are some positive painting and art ideas that I absolutely love exploring in my own cozy studio. First off, Affirmation Art has become a staple for me. Just like the "motivational sign" I have hanging, or the little notes that say "Do something amazing every day" and "believe IN YOURSELF," incorporating uplifting words into my pieces brings such a powerful energy. You don't have to be a calligrapher; simple block letters or even abstract shapes that subtly spell out a positive message can be incredibly impactful. Sometimes I'll paint a vibrant background, then layer a favorite quote over it. It's a wonderful way to reinforce positive affirmations for both yourself and anyone who views your art. Then there's the magic of Color Therapy Painting. My space is bursting with bright colors, and I find that certain hues instantly lift my spirits. Think about creating "colorful abstract artworks" using warm yellows, oranges, and soft pinks to evoke happiness and comfort. Or calming blues and greens for serenity. I often just let the colors guide me, allowing the paint to flow freely and create harmonious, mood-boosting compositions. It's less about perfection and more about expressing pure, unadulterated joy through color. Nature is another huge source of positive inspiration. I adore painting Nature-Inspired Art for Serenity. Whether it's a detailed "floral portrait painting" of a blooming peony or a simplified landscape featuring lush greenery, bringing the beauty of the outdoors onto my canvas always feels uplifting. Even having a "potted yucca plant" in my studio reminds me of growth and tranquility, prompting me to paint scenes that evoke a similar peaceful feeling. It’s a fantastic way to create art that brings a sense of calm and natural positivity into any room. And who can resist a little whimsy? Joyful Object Still Life or Whimsical Art is a fantastic way to inject some lightheartedness. My studio is dotted with "cute plushies" and quirky items, and sometimes I'll set up a colorful still life featuring a favorite mug with a "cat design" or other cheerful trinkets. Painting these everyday objects with a playful twist, emphasizing their charm and the joy they bring, can result in incredibly endearing and positive pieces. It's about finding the happiness in the ordinary, just like my "Enjoy Joy Find Joy in the ordinary" sign suggests. Finally, don't underestimate the power of Gratitude Art. Inspired by the "decorative stones with positive messages" I keep, I sometimes paint small canvases or even decorate my art supplies with symbols or words that represent things I'm grateful for. It could be a simple heart, a sun, or the phrase "think happy thoughts." This practice not only makes the creative process more mindful but also infuses the final artwork with a deep sense of appreciation, making it truly positive from its very core. Remember, the goal is to create art that makes you and others feel good. Let your art space be your sanctuary, fill it with inspiration, and allow that positivity to pour onto your canvas. Happy creating!
