Baby Girl, Respect is just the minimum.

As I continue on my decentering men journey… I’ve found that connection is what I look for and idk who told me romance and sex was the ONLY way to connect, but I have been missing out on true connections.

Then i connected with someone and thought that I needed to be in a romantic relationship with them and that simply wasn’t what I was going for and it left me a little confused because why wouldn’t I want to be with someone I connect with really well…

Well, you really don’t have to date everyone you connect with.

We are friends with a connection and I loooovvveeeeeee our relationship so much.

I almost missed out on a genuine connection trying to turn it into something I didn’t really need or want.

It fosters an environment where one can develop themselves further, free from expectations tied to romantic involvement. It's also essential to acknowledge that understanding one's own needs is key. Not everyone you connect with intimately must transition into a romantic partnership. By recognizing this, individuals can maintain meaningful relationships that respect personal boundaries and emotional needs. Connection does not have to fit the mold of romantic love; it can be celebratory, supportive, and enriching. Embrace the idea of connection that allows for diverse, fulfilling experiences, whether romantic or not. This philosophy can lead to a more profound understanding of oneself and relationships, ultimately fostering a community where everyone feels valued and respected.
