flutter workout shorts 🥰🌸 mini haul

It’s been so long since I received a package where everything fit perfectly and looked so cute!!! 😍 I ordered all these shorts from Hollister’s active clothing line, Gilly Hicks. And I know for sure that this isn’t the last time I’ll be ordering from them 🤩

The flutter detail makes all of these look super pretty but the shorts underneath with the built in pocket make them functional and convenient. I got size XS and it fit perfectly, especially around the waist where clothes generally tend to be loose for me! Absolutely love this purchase and I’d highly recommend Hollister/Gilly Hicks for active clothing!

... Read moreOkay, so after gushing about my new Gilly Hicks flutter shorts, I wanted to share a bit more about why these are such a game-changer and what else I look for when doing a 'gym shorts haul.' When I first saw the 'flutter skortie in cloud blue' and the 'active flutter shorts in stone & black' (yes, I got a few colors!), I was immediately drawn to the design. The flutter detail isn't just cute; it actually gives a great range of motion without feeling restrictive, which is super important for my workouts. What truly sealed the deal for me, though, was the functionality. You know how annoying it can be to find shorts that are both stylish and practical? These Gilly Hicks ones totally nail it. The built-in shorts underneath are a lifesaver – no worries about flashing anyone during squats or stretches! Plus, those hidden pockets? Absolute genius. I can stash my phone or keys securely without needing a bulky fanny pack. It's the little things that make a big difference when you're trying to focus on your fitness. When it comes to sizing, like I mentioned, I grabbed an XS, and it fit perfectly around my waist, which is usually a problem area for me. My tip for sizing activewear is always to check the brand's specific size guide, and if you're between sizes, consider what kind of activity you'll be doing. For high-impact workouts, I prefer a snugger fit to avoid chafing, but for lounging, a slightly looser fit can be comfier. Hollister/Gilly Hicks seems to have a pretty consistent fit, so that's a huge plus! Beyond fit, I also pay attention to the fabric. These shorts feel incredibly soft and breathable, which is crucial for staying cool during intense sessions. I hate feeling sticky or weighed down by my workout gear. Another thing I always look for in a gym shorts haul is versatility. Can I wear these shorts just for the gym, or can I throw on an oversized tee and wear them for a casual coffee run? The flutter design makes these stylish enough to transition seamlessly from my morning workout to running errands. Lastly, a quick word on care: to keep your activewear looking its best, always wash it in cold water with like colors and air dry if possible. This helps maintain the fabric's elasticity and color, ensuring your favorite shorts last longer. Trust me, investing a little time in proper care extends the life of your activewear significantly!
