Creative Ways I Use My Digital Notebook 🖊️
Here are some of my favorite creative ways to use my digital notebook (reMarkable 2). You can apply this to any iPad, tablet, or digital device! 💗
🖊️ Mind maps & brainstorming: I love creating mind maps for coming up with new ideas and branching off of them. A digital notebook makes it very easy to expand these maps, move things around easily, and more.
🖊️ Keeping running lists: I absolutely love making lists, but instead of having them in a hundred different books or running out of room, digital paper offers the perfect way to keep your lists organized and continue building on them. For example, I have lists for movies I loved, books on my reading list and my favorite journaling prompts, and I can keep adding to these every day!
🖊️ As a commonplace book: Commonplace books are collections of quotes, thoughts and ideas from other people and sources. Since I always have my notebook on me, it’s easy for me to jot these down anywhere I go! The page I showed in the example is dated because I was trying to note something new every day and this gave a good way to organize the information.
🖊️ Poetry writing collection: I enjoy writing poetry and flash fiction, and digital notebooks make the perfect place to store these creative writing pieces. They’re also great for making sketching/art collections and a compilation of other creative work.
🖊️ Reflective bedtime journaling: Journaling is great but apart from writing about my day, I love picking out deep, reflective prompts and answering them to get a better understanding of myself. The stylus lets me write longer without putting as much strain on my hand (compared to a pen) and it’s great to never worry about running out of room!
🖊️ Bullet journaling & planning: I love creating new bullet journal and scheduling spreads without worrying about making mistakes. It also makes it easier to keep things organized and accessible in some cases.
🖊️ Writing thoughts & notes: This photo is from a murder mystery game we were playing, and the digital notebook was the perfect way to jot down information. I unfortunately got this device after I graduated college but it would’ve been fab for taking class notes as well!
