Trust No One: My Thoughts on Book Two

The Housemaids Secrets 🤭

Audiobook 🎧

👀Honestly book two really made me question some things. I thought I was going to predict what was going on, and then I second guessed myself!

Freida really knows how to write a good book. Not only a good book but one that really pulls you in, and you know it’s not going to take a million years to read! Her books are so easy and I love that the movie just released but also sad because I ended up having to cancel going the other night 🫠🥲

I decided to treat myself once I finish my current school program I have 20 days left to finish. Basically 2 courses. 🙃

I will listen to the next book while I’m studying or driving. 😆😩

💭: Have you made it through the whole series?

Did you like the 2nd better than the first OR is there an even better one?? 🤭

... Read moreSo many of you, like me, might be wondering: are there two Housemaid books, or even more? It's a common question, especially with Freida McFadden's knack for keeping us on the edge of our seats! I'm here to clear things up and share my personal journey through this gripping series. First off, yes, there are indeed two main novels in 'The Housemaid' series, plus a fantastic little addition! It all kicks off with 'The Housemaid,' the first book that introduced us to the unforgettable Millie Calloway. I remember diving into that one, completely captivated by the initial twists and character development. It sets up such a unique premise, and you just know you're in for a wild ride from page one. The way Freida McFadden crafts her mysteries, you really can't trust anyone, and that first book truly cemented that feeling for me. Then comes 'The Housemaid's Secret,' which is the second full-length novel and the one I've just been raving about! If you thought the first book was full of surprises, wait until you get to this one. My mind was genuinely playing tricks on me, trying to predict what would happen next, only to be completely blindsided. It picks up Millie's story in a way that feels organic yet fresh, delving deeper into her past and throwing her into even more precarious situations. It’s a masterclass in psychological suspense, and I devoured it. For anyone who loved the first, 'The Housemaid's Secret' is an absolute must-read that delivers even more tension and shocking revelations. And for those who want even more of Millie, there's also 'The Housemaid's Wedding,' a shorter story that acts as a delightful bonus. While not a full novel, it’s a perfect treat for fans who aren't ready to leave Millie's world just yet. I found it to be a sweet, albeit still suspenseful, continuation that tied up some loose ends and further enriched the series. So, if you're looking to read the entire series, my recommendation is to go in order: start with 'The Housemaid,' move on to 'The Housemaid's Secret,' and then enjoy 'The Housemaid's Wedding' as a little extra. Trust me, experiencing Millie's journey sequentially makes every twist and turn hit harder. I usually love to curl up in a cozy room with a fireplace and bookshelves when I'm reading a good thriller like these. There’s something about that atmosphere that just enhances the suspense. These books are so easy to get into, perfect for when you need an escape but don’t want to commit to something that drags on. Freida McFadden truly knows how to write a page-turner that you can finish relatively quickly, leaving you satisfied yet craving more. Have you read all of them? What did you think of the series order?
