Not your grave
It’s funny how people will treat you any kind of way
and then become upset
when you call out their actions.
It’s comical how they project—
their past mistakes becoming your reality,
their pain
somehow assigned as your grief.
And the love they lost
should somehow
bury you.
They hand you their wounds
like obligations,
expect you to bleed quietly
so they don’t have to.
But I am not a grave
for what you refused to heal.
Dealing with individuals who project their past pains onto you can be an emotionally draining experience. In my own journey, I’ve often encountered situations where others expected me to silently bear the weight of their unresolved grief or mistakes.
